The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is a statutory body established in terms of the Engineering Profession Act (EPA), 46 of 2000. The ECSA’s primary role is the regulation of the engineering profession in terms of this Act. Its core functions are the accreditation of engineering programmes, registration of persons as professionals in specified categories, and the regulation of the practice of registered persons.

The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP)

The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is an entity established under the Project and Construction Management Professions Act (Act No.48 of 2000) in accordance with Section 22 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. This constitutional provision upholds the right of every citizen to freely choose their trade, occupation, or profession, subject to regulation by law.

THE FEDERATED EMPLOYER’S MUTUAL ASSURANCE COMPANY (RF) PROPRIETARY LIMITED, founded in 1936 as a mutual insurer, obtained a license in 1941 to continue providing workmen’s compensation insurance specifically tailored to the building industry. Its core focus centers around insuring employers against their responsibilities under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act of 1993.

CSD – CENTRAL SUPPLIER DATABASE

The Central Supplier Database maintains a database of organisatons, institutions and individuals who can provide goods and services to government. The CSD will serve as the single source of key supplier information for organs of state from 01 April 2016 providing consolidated, accurate, up-to-date, complete and verified supplier information to procuring organs of state.
